NEAR MONEY: Assets that are highly liquid, and can be easily exchanged for money, but can not be used directly to purchase goods. The best examples are savings accounts, certificates of deposit, and similar bank accounts. These savings near monies are added to M1 to derived M2. Several investment type near monies are added to M2 to derived M3.

CONSTANT GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT: The total market value, measured in constant prices, of all goods and services produced within the political boundaries of an economy during a given period of time, usually one year. The key is that constant gross domestic product is measured in constant prices, the prices for a specific base year. Constant gross domestic product, also termed real gross domestic product, adjusts gross domestic product for inflation. The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS for short) publishes one of the most respected scientific magazines called Science.
