Attention Instructors

We've just made it a whole lot easier to use the AmosWEB eTutor in your class. Check out our two new features.

Student Access Guide

  • First up is our newly published Student Access Guide. You can now adopt the AmosWEB eTutor just like any traditional printed textbook. Simply have your campus bookstore place an order for the Student Access Guide (ISBN 0-9709568-1-9). It's that easy.

  • The Student Access Guide is a packet containing a registration manual plus the access codes a student needs to register for the eTutor under your class. You order. Students buy. They register. You teach.

I*portal

  • Next up is the I*portal instructor interface. When used with the Student Access Guide, the I*portal lets you the instructor set up the eTutor specifially for your class. Select only the lessons that you want your students to study. Configure the student home page and the default topic presentation. Require end of unit quizzes or end of lesson exams.

  • You can then use the I*portal to keep track of student progress, post exam scores, broadcast news bulletins, provide syllabus information, and maintain a schedule of class events. It makes teaching easier, more enjoyable, and more effective.

For More Infromation

Contact us at info@amosweb.com for ordering information and how to get set up with I*portal instructor level access. So, what do you get when you sign up?

The short answer is: a lot! But let's be specific. Here are some AmosWEB eTutor features:

  • We start with the My.eTutor Home Page that you can customize to suit your own preferences. Select a table of contents containing only the information you want to cover. Display a randomly generated economic term from the GLOSS*arama. Keep a schedule of upcoming course exams and assignments.

  • We move on to 1,200 bite-sized topics ranging from the Three Questions of Allocation to Federal Reserve Open Market Operations to Game Theory, many with interactive graphics.

  • We then combine these topics into 43 introductory microeconomic and macroeconomic lessons, such as Market Demand, Production Possibilities, Money Creation, and Oligopoly. Check out the CONTENTS for a complete listing and discussion of lessons.

  • If this isn't enough, we toss in an enhanced GLOSS*arama database of over 1,500 economic terms and concepts. Use it as a stand alone resource or to review key terms from each lesson.

  • We also have the QUEST*errific practice testing system with a database of over 2,000 multiple choice questions. You can also use this as a stand alone resource or to take practice tests at the end of each lesson.

  • Let's not forget the search engine that provides almost instant access to any of the 1,200 topics or 1,800 glossary terms.

  • To keep life interesting, each of the 43 major lesson topics has a complete set of support information, including summary points, study questions, key terms, and topic outline.

  • Best of all, the AmosWEB eTutor comes with the world famous AmosWEB touch of whimsy.
We've created the AmosWEB eTutor to make life easier for both students and instructors. Instructors are bound to appreciate our new I*portal course interface. For more information, check out:
