COMPLEX EXPENDITURE MULTIPLIER: The ratio of the change in aggregate output (or gross domestic product) to an autonomous change in an aggregate expenditure (consumption expenditures, investment expenditures, government purchases, or net exports) when all induced components are included in Keynesian analysis. ATTITUDES: A person's consistent evaluation and behavioral tendencies toward an idea or object. This is one of the psychological influences on consumer buying behavior. This pattern of behavior is central to a company's effort to market a product or service to at target market. Once developed, attitudes tend to be stable and vary little in a moment to moment situation.

AVERAGE TOTAL COST CURVE

A curve that graphically represents the relation between average total cost incurred by a firm in the short-run product of a good or service and the quantity produced. The average total cost curve is constructed to capture the relation between average total cost and the level of output, holding other variables, like technology and resource prices, constant. The average total cost curve is one of three average curves. The other two are average variable cost curve and average fixed cost curve. A related curve is the marginal cost curve.
